Summer 2010 update!

In case you wanted to read the full history, here is the obituary.

We've had a good time this summer reminiscing and cleaning out her house, she saved everything! Every letter written from Janet while she was at Florida State, family photos from even the late 1800s, coins, decks of cards, wedding gifts, magazines, and the most fashionable hats you've ever seen!

Summer 2008

My favorite quotes include:

"That's Old-Old."

"I wouldn't have that."

"Put on a sweater or you'll catch cold."

"That Jay is a fine, fine boy."

"Ooh, what sweet children."

Little Grandma

This is a photo of Little Grandma on her 100th birthday! This is NaNa's Great-Grandmother on her father's side.

Rummy

Last week, Andrew, Jay and I sat down to play cards. I suggested Rummy and in teaching Andrew how to play, it took me back to visits to NaNa's house in Lake City where we would play cards. We'd play and play, and at the end, she'd put down 5 cards at once with that little click they make when you snap them on the table. "I'm putting down Jack, Queen, King, I'm playing that 7 on your sevens and this 8 on your eights."

And the game would be over! She was calculating how to beat me all along!
